Primary treatment

The outpatient clinics and laboratories at the privately owned Iasis Hospital are capable of covering the entire range of services that may be required in the framework of every medical specialty.

More specifically, in the check up field, a specialized secretariat operates to ensure the coordination of the clinics and laboratories involved, so as to reduce the time spent by patients at hospital to an absolute minimum.   

In the field of primary health care, the private Iasis Hospital is proceeding with the establishment of a home treatment department, in addition to the outpatient clinics and check-up department, to provide primary and aftercare health care services. This department will be staffed with the necessary personnel (medical and nursing) so as to cover any needs in primary health care services in the Prefectures of Chania and Rethimno.

Secondary treatment

Secondary treatment at Iasis Hospital covers the full spectrum of medicine. In its six (6) floors, Iasis Hospital offers 70 beds, 6 operating rooms, 3 delivery rooms, a 5 bed ICU and a 4 bed HCU, which, along with a highly trained medical and nursing staff, provide the best services in the sensitive sector of health care.

Patient Transfer Unit

The Hospital’s Patient Transfer Unit is equipped with three (3) ambulances, two of which comprise mobile units. Moreover, the hospital has two small patient service vehicles used to transfer walking patients around the city.

In cooperation with privately operating doctors within the Prefecture of Chania, Iasis Hospital has developed a primary health care service network capable of managing health problems of visitors at summertime in the following locations:
